ROJO Garden

At the end of this delightful formal garden, an Adirondack-style pergola overlooks a small brook. A large granite slab is set in the earth to serve as a bridge. Gravel paths lead to an impressive millstone which is centered within the courtyard. Adirondack-style bench sets on the opposite side of the pergola provide a view of the entire garden.

The north side of the garden includes shade perennials and decorative stone work. Ornamental pear and cherry trees planted in stone-lined ovals lead visitors’ eyes to a stone bench that anchors the south side of the garden.

Other plants in the garden include hornbeams (small hardwood trees), boxwoods, blueberry bushes, and honeysuckle that grows on a trellis.
