Merchants and Designers

Designed by Bunny Donahue

Bunny has launched dress divisions for Tahari ASL, Ellen Tracy and Jessica Simpson. After reaching her professional goal of Vice President of Design for the Dress Division of Jones New York, she decided to launch her own label, Becket.

Becket represents a modern nod to the chic, glamorous style of the past, but is very much “current” in design. Classic, yet contemporary. Stylish, yet not too trendy. Bunny’s dresses are designed for the woman with a flair for timeless style in the modern world.

These are dresses that can travel, go to work, and take you on to that special event in the evening. Prices start at $250.00.

Gregor McCluskey, Founder

Form, function & style for the sporting adventurer in the field or on the town.

American Design Born of Comfort ~ Time Tested Classics in the Scottish tradition ~ Uniquely American and Distinctly BraeVal. At BraeVal we stand for authenticity and a BraeValian lifestyle that values grace, elegance and performance in the field or on the town; as genuine as the sporting life we share. Our mission is to outfit you with the most comfortable apparel afield.

Our Symbol…Big Jock McCluskey who came from the crags and BraeVal of Scotland brought the Rob Roy MacGregor tartan to American in the 1800’s. Legend has it that Native Americans had never seen cloth dyed a brighter red, and believe it was made from the blood of McCluskey prey and enemies.

Like many things that crossed the Atlantic, the tartan received a new name and became uniquely American and distinctly BraeVal – Buffalo Plaid was born.

LuLu Espadrilles
Lisa Horne, Designer

Twenty years ago, Lisa Horne found a pair of espadrilles that were just what she wanted: double-thick soles, great fabric and very comfortable. Lisa wore them out and when she went to replace them, she couldn’t find anything that came near the original pair.

So she created her own!

The jute soles are made in a small fishing village in the Basque region of France. All the fabrics are cotton or linen and come from France, Italy or England. The Japanese company Mokuba makes the contrasting ankle ribbons.

LuLu Espadrilles which are named after Lisa’s oldest daughter, (her nickname as young girl), are assembled and finished right here in Northwest Connecticut.

Lisa hopes you will wear her espadrilles out!
